October 2008 Newsletter
Fall is such a beautiful time of the year. With Hurrincane Ike behind us, I am looking forward to the cool weather and hopefully no more storms. I love to see the changing of the seasons - leaves turning beautiful colors and the cooler temperatures. Fall has arrived and with it comes Halloween and Thanksgiving. I am featuring some angels that are fall related in this newsletter.

Kay
Congratulations to Pat Ulmer whose entry was selected for the September contest.
"When I saw September’s Angel it reminded me of my godmother, Kay. She was my mom’s best friend for over 40 years. She passed away Aug 16, 1991 which is ironic because my son was born on that day in 1989.
Kay had a heart of gold when it came to people. She always worried about everyone else’s happiness before her own. She gave up her life to take care of her mom for some 20 years before she died. She did without so others could find some peace. She also had hands of gold when it came to sewing. When I was a young teenager she would always tell me that she would make my wedding dress. Her hands were magic as she also made my sisters gown. Unfortunately, the year I was getting married her mom who I called grandmom passed away a few months earlier. She was heartbroken that she couldn’t make my gown. But I quickly found a way to solve that dilemma by inviting her to come and help mom and I pick my wedding dress out. She was very humbled by that gesture. But to me it was a given. She was so good to everyone else I just wanted to return a small token of my gratitude back. I know she is up there with a smile on her face. She was a great example for me even now and I think of her often as I am now doing my best to take care of my mom who just turned 87 on Aug 4th.
The angels wings just remind me of how giving Kay was in life. She was a beautiful person inside and out and it would be an honor if you would name this angel for my Kay."
Pat, please verify your shipping address and your angel will be on the way.
